This citrus-scented soap is an energetic blend of bergamot and mandarin orange, with a mild spice scent. Orange elite clay was used for the color.
The bergamot fruit is a relatively new fruit for me and I can’t say I’ve ever actually seen one in real life. It’s about the size of an orange, but has a yellowish rind. The fruit inside is green. I’m told the taste is sweeter than a lemon, but more sour than an orange. Some say the taste is even more bitter than a grapefruit. Never-the-less, the scent (which is derived from the peel) compliments the sweetness of the mandarin orange.
